Job summary
Hydro in Mississauga, Ontario, is hiring a Production Helper for permanent day, evening, or overnight shifts. You will pack aluminum profiles, operate extrusion/packaging machines (training provided), and verify orders for correct quantity and dimensions.
Adhere to safety rules and quality standards while contributing to a fast-paced production line. Starting pay is $21.39/hour with shift premiums; benefits include medical, retirement plan, education assistance, and parental leave.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
- Good communication skills in English (spoken and written).
Responsibilities
- Pack aluminum profile and prepare them for shipment.
- Operate industrial extrusion or packaging machines (training provided).
- Check order details to ensure the correct number of pieces with the required dimensions are delivered.
- Always comply with health, safety and environmental regulations.
- Inspect materials to ensure quality control.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

$21.39/hour
New employees will be assigned shifts based on the production shifts outlined below:
- Day shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Evening shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Overnight shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- $0.65/hour extra for the night shift
- $0.50/hour extra for the afternoon shift
- Pack aluminum profile and prepare them for shipment
- Operate industrial extrusion or packaging machines (training provided).
- Check order details to ensure the correct number of pieces with the required dimensions are delivered
- Always comply with health, safety and environmental regulations
- Inspect materials to ensure quality control
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role or function
- Good communication skills in English (spoken and written)
- Flexibility to work on any of the 3 production shifts outlined above
- Comfortable using hand tools and measuring instruments (tape measure, caliper, square, saw, etc.)
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
- Ability to work in a hot environment (30–35°C in summer)
