Job summary

Hydro is hiring at its Mississauga, Ontario facility for a permanent night-shift production role. Starting pay is $21.39/hour with additional shift premiums of $0.65/hour for nights and $0.50/hour for afternoons.

Training provided to operate extrusion/packaging machinery and ensure accurate orders while meeting health, safety and quality standards. Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of relevant experience with strong English communication skills.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role or function.
• Good communication skills in English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Pack aluminum profile and prepare them for shipment.
• Operate industrial extrusion or packaging machines (training provided).
• Check order details to ensure the correct number of pieces with the required dimensions are delivered.
• Always comply with health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Inspect materials to ensure quality control.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Starting Rate of pay:

$21.39/hour

Shifts Available and Hours:

New employees will be assigned shifts based on the production shifts outlined below:

• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Evening shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Overnight shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Shift Premium:

• $0.65/hour extra for the night shift
• $0.50/hour extra for the afternoon shift

What you will be doing

• Pack aluminum profile and prepare them for shipment

What will make you successful?

Required Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role or function
• Good communication skills in English (spoken and written)

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

• Flexibility to work on any of the 3 production shifts outlined above
• Comfortable using hand tools and measuring instruments (tape measure, caliper, square, saw, etc.)
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
• Ability to work in a hot environment (30–35°C in summer)
