We’re excited to launch a new state-of-the-art robotic homebuilding plant in partnership with several large homebuilders within the Greater Calgary Region. Powered by Promise Robotics' transformative production lines for timber-based panelized construction, the new plant enables our group of homebuilding partners to significantly increase the capacity and speed of home production within the fast-growing region of Calgary, AB.

To support our continued growth, we are seeking a Production Framer to frame manual wall panels, floors, stairs, and roofs. In this role, you will perform various tasks involving physical labor, operate equipment, and hand and power tools. There is also an opportunity to be trained as a Robotic Machine Operator.

What You Will Do

• Assemble and finish pre-built wall, floor, and roof structures.
• Examine blueprints and building plans to prepare project layouts, determine dimensions, and select materials for framing.
• Measure, cut, and assemble framing lumber for residential buildings.
• Install exterior windows and doors.
• Frame floor panels according to joist layouts and shop drawings.
• Conduct interior work such as fitting interior doors and casings.
• Use hand and power tools like saws, drills, nail guns, framer’s squares, and measuring tapes.
• Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to other employees.
• Maintain safety standards in the workplace.
• Follow quality control procedures.
• Ensure availability of materials and supplies.
• Participate in problem-solving sessions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform additional duties as required.

What You Will Need To Succeed

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in framing.
• Journeyman Carpenter certification is a strong asset.
• Proficient in building codes.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit software is a strong asset.
• Team-oriented with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Residential construction knowledge.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
• Knowledge of health and safety rules.
• Knowledge of imperial and metric measurement systems.
• Ability to move equipment or materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to distinguish colors.
• May require work in hazardous environments with protective equipment.
