Job description

Promise Robotics is a rapidly growing venture-backed technology startup with a mission to help the building industry to harness automation toward producing more affordable and sustainable buildings. Our world-class team combines AI, Industrialized Robotics, and construction under one roof to develop the most advanced robotic products for the construction of highly efficient and sustainable buildings.

We are seeking a Lead Production Framer. This role guides a single, cross-functional team to perform at a high level both in the field and in the factory—refining processes, training crew members, and advancing our shift toward manufacturing-style efficiency.

What you will do:
  • Actively participate in daily production and site installation, including hands-on work processing wall and floor panels using power and hand tools
  • Guide the development and training of best practices for site installation
  • Ensure consistent quality control throughout production and on-site installation
  • Conduct mini tests and trials to evaluate value-added improvements in framing and panel processes
  • Measuring, cutting, assembling, aligning, and installing various construction materials as per specifications and standards.
  • Lead the implementation of 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles to improve flow, organization, and efficiency Conducting interior work, such as fitting interior doors and casings.
  • Identify bottlenecks, waste, and inefficiencies and lead structured problem-solving
  • Demonstrating expertise in building materials and selecting suitable products for both interior and exterior applications.
  • Perform all framing, exterior finishing and roofing tasks under limited or no supervision
  • Provide on the job training to others on all tasks and operations; act as an expert in all operations.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
What you will need to succeed:
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8 years experience in residential framing.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency in building codes.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and REVIT software is an asset.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
  • Familiarity with both imperial and metric measurement systems.
  • Adaptability to changing work environments.
  • Physical capability to lift and handle objects weighing up to 80 lbs.
