Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Corporation in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada is seeking a Production Associate for CCA Test (3:30 pm – 12:00 midnight) to set up and test circuit card assemblies using automated test equipment. You will perform all levels of test, troubleshoot, record results, and support continuous improvement while meeting production and quality targets.

Requirements include a high school diploma and 2+ years of ESS/test experience in manufacturing; college electronics training is an asset; SAP

Qualifications

• High School diploma; Electronics tech college training is a plus.
• 2+ years of Test / ESS experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read work instructions, blueprints, diagrams, or assembly drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Experience with formal procedures and supporting documents.
• LE AN manufacturing or SAP knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Set up and test circuit card assemblies using automated test equipment.
• Perform all levels of test; JTAG, ATP, Vibration and ESS.
• Follow test procedures and instructions to verify electrical performance.
• Troubleshoot failures by inspecting components, solder joints, wiring and signals.
• Record test results and document defects or failures.
• Perform rework or minor repairs as needed.
• Identify/report damaged or missing parts to supervisors.
• Provide feedback to test engineering support and suggest improvements.
• Adhere to work instructions, drawings, diagrams, and specifications.
• Maintain safety, quality and productivity targets; support shift rotations.

Salary Range: $41,300 - $55,000 plus 10% shift premium

Your Challenge:

• Set up and test circuit card assemblies using automated test equipment
• Perform all levels of test; JTAG, ATP, Vibration and ESS
• Follow test procedures and work instructions to verify electrical performance
• Troubleshoot failures by checking components, solder joints, wiring, connectors and circuit signals.
• Record test results and document defects or failures
• Perform rework or minor repairs
• Identify and report damages, missing, or incorrect parts to the appropriate supervisor or lead hand
• Provide feedback on technical issues to test engineering support
• Suggest process changes and improvements
• Follow work instructions, drawings, diagrams, and specifications
• Follow established procedures for quality, safety, productivity, and material handling
• Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to meet production schedules
• Attend all provided product test training
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Meet expected production and quality targets
• Willing to support shift rotations as required
• Set up, maintain and remove test equipment
• Record production information or complete paperwork/system entries

What You Bring:

• High School diploma
• College diploma in Electronics Engineering Technician/Technology is considered an asset
• 2+ years of Test / ESS experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read work instructions, blueprints, diagrams, or assembly drawings
• Good attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality
• Knowledge of defect recognition for workmanship standards and requirements
• Experience working with formal procedures and supporting documents
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, multi-task and respond quickly to changes in the build schedule
• Experience in working with test procedures and supporting documents
• Experience testing products using electronic test equipment such as graphics cards, motherboards & RTMs
• Strong technical and computer skills as well as MS office tools
• Familiar with DOS operating system and Windows environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience testing products using ESS chambers
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and respond quickly to changes in the build schedule as required
• Experience reading work instructions, blueprints, diagrams, or assembly drawings
• Ability to use measuring tools like Digital Multimeter, Oscilloscope, Logic/Spectrum Analyzer, Function/Signal Generator
• Experience in a LEAN manufacturing model is considered an asset
• SAP knowledge is considered an asset
• Technical writing experience is considered an asset
• Manufacturing, mechanical, electrical or industrial training is considered an asset
