Job summary

Hubbell Canada is seeking a temporary assembler to perform non-electrical assembly, sub-assembly preparation, and rework. The role focuses on using various shop floor tools and ensuring components match the BOM.

You will test and repair assemblies, package finished products, and maintain a clean workstation according to SOPs and safety programs. The position requires basic math, the ability to lift, and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent.
  • Valid equipment operating licenses for Tow Motors and Man-up Order Picker may be required.
  • Basic math skills are needed for measurements and calculations.
  • Ability to read and interpret written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure pulled parts for assemblies match the Bill of Material.
  • Prepare sub-assemblies as needed and assemble finished products.
  • Operate equipment such as index tables, drill presses, soldering machines, and grinders.
  • Test finished products and repair faults in assemblies as required.
  • Package finished products and prepare for transport to the holding area.
  • Maintain clean and safe workstation; follow SOPs and safety programs.

Job description

This is a temopray position for an assembler who is responsible for the non electrical assembly and rework

  • Ensure pulled parts for specific assemblies agree with Bill of Material
  • Prepares sub-assemblies as necessary
  • Assemble finished products using sub-assemblies and additional parts specified
  • Operates a variety of equipment such as index tables, drill presses, soldering machine, air and electric presses, Hubbell drivers, electric grinder, wire strippers, air drivers, etc.
  • Tests finished product
  • Repairs to faulty assembly
  • Product upgrade / conversion
  • Prepares packing material
  • Packages finished product and transports to Holding Area
  • Clean-up of workstation
  • Other duties related to assembly functions
