Job summary

Kraken Robotics is currently recruiting for Production Assemblers to join our team in Dartmouth, NS.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Assembly of Products: Assemble battery packs and battery management systems by following blueprints, work instructions, and assembly guides to ensure accurate and consistent production.
  • Component Handling: Handle and position small components, wires, and connectors with precision and care to prevent damage and ensure proper alignment.
  • Use of Tools & Equipment: Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete assembly tasks efficiently and safely.
  • Quality Control: Conduct inspections of in-process and completed assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Soldering & Wiring: Perform basic soldering and wire routing as required for assembly.
  • Documentation: Record assembly data, complete production checklists, and maintain accurate documentation of work performed.
  • Adherence to Safety Protocols: Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Inventory Management: Notify supervisors of low stock or the need for replenishment of components, ensuring production timelines are met.
  • Problem Solving: Identify issues with parts, materials, or processes and communicate with supervisors to resolve them promptly.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Conduct basic cleaning and maintenance of assembly tools and equipment to ensure functionality and longevity.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with Quality Control, Engineering, and Production Supervisors to address any production challenges and maintain workflow.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain high‑quality standards.
Qualifications and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience in production assembly, electronics assembly, or manufacturing
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and assembly instructions
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized assembly equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
  • Basic soldering experience is preferred but not required
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision and maintain focus for extended periods
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and work with small components for extended periods
  • Must be able to lift to 25 lbs. as needed
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday with occasional overtime as needed
