Job summary

Sofina Foods Inc. in Brampton is seeking a Production Analyst to collect and transform operations data, monitor production trends, and provide insights to improve KPIs and process reliability.

You will support daily and weekly meetings, assist with data modelling and automation projects, and partner with Process Engineering and plant leadership to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in process, industrial or manufacturing engineering, mathematics or science.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing/food-processing environment.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power BI skills; knowledge of databases (AS400 is an asset).
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving abilities.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills and understanding of project management.

Responsibilities

• Collect Operations reports (Production, Maintenance, Quality) daily and weekly and transform into useful reports with insights.
• Provide data-driven recommendations to improve KPIs (Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost).
• Assist plant teams with administrative duties (Plant Action Tracker, Weekly Review Meetings planning, DDS boards).
• Coordinate daily and weekly plant meetings for Process Engineering and plant leadership.
• Assist Process Engineers and Plant Leadership with continuous improvement and Process Reliability projects.
• Support projects such as capacity improvement and other capital projects.
• Participate in data modelling/automation projects and manage through implementation.
• Lead self-driven activities to advance Sofina’s business condition.

Job description

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Director, Operations, the Production Analyst is accountable to collect reports and monitor production trends and other operational data. Position will support in carrying out daily and weekly meetings and assist with data-driven insights to monitor and improve KPIs, improvement activities and Process Reliability projects.

Key Accountabilities:

Daily Management (70%):

• Collect Operations reports (Production, Maintenance, Quality) daily and weekly (PAPER BASED) and transform into useful reports and derive insights to assist in daily management.


• Provide data-driven recommendations on improvement of KPIs (Safety, Quality, Food Safety, Productivity, Cost).


• Assist plant teams with administrative duties related to plant operations (i.e. Plant Action Tracker, Weekly Review Meetings planning, DDS boards)


• Coordinate daily, weekly plant meetings and other tasks for the Process Engineering team as well as plant leadership.

Projects (30%):

• Assist Process Engineers and Plant Leadership with continuous improvements and Process Reliability improvements.


• Support projects such as capacity improvement and other capital projects.


• On the floor presence; Participate in data modelling/ automation projects and manage through implementation.


• Lead self-driven activities and tasks that support data analytics to advance Sofina’s business condition

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degreeProcess, Industrial or Manufacturing engg or in Mathematics, Science or other equivalent degree.


• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing/ food-processing environment.


• Union experience (considered an asset)


• Advanced Microsoft Excel, Power BI and knowledge of database interaction (AS400, considered an asset)


• Demonstrated ability to analyze data and evaluate results; proven aptitude for working with numbers.


• Strong problem-solving skills to identify and interpret complex issues and implement sustainable solutions.


• Strong organizational, communication, presentation skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.


• Excellent verbal and communication skills.


• Detail oriented and an understanding of Project Management principles

Hiring Range: CAD $51,158-$63,948

Bonus: This position is eligible for a bonus up5% of base salary subject to the plan terms and conditions.

Please note that the expected hiring range provided is derived from a group of like roles within Sofina. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on geographical region, applicable experience, skillset of the candidate and internal equity.
