Job summary

Our client in Calgary is seeking a Production Accountant to join the team on a 1-year contract. You will own full-cycle production and revenue accounting for operated and non-operated assets, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

Ideal candidate has 1-3 years in production and revenue accounting within oil & gas, with strong attention to detail and effective communication skills to manage multiple priorities.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of production and revenue accounting experience in oil & gas.
• Strong understanding of production accounting principles and regulations.
• Excellent communication skills in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle full-cycle production and revenue accounting for assets in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
• Maintain Metrix master data (wells, market masters, royalties, processing fees).
• Review fuel, flare and vent emissions monthly; reconcile accounts.
• Prepare monthly AR reviews and reconciliations.
• Process production and revenue amendments as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for timely reporting.
• Respond to inquiries from government agencies, partners and royalty owners.
• Investigate data discrepancies in Metrix and resolve issues.
• Support audits related to production, revenue, transportation, royalties.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to colleagues.

Our client, a well-established and growing oil & gas producer, is seeking a Production Accountant to join their Calgary-based team on a 1 year Contract. This opportunity is ideal for a senior production accounting professional who enjoys taking ownership of full-cycle production and revenue accounting activities while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To

• Complete full-cycle production and revenue accounting for operated and non-operated assets in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
• Maintain and update master data within Metrix, including wells, market masters, royalties, and processing fees.
• Review fuel, flare, and vent emissions on a monthly basis.
• Perform monthly accounts receivable reviews and reconciliations.
• Review and process production and revenue amendments as required.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Respond to inquiries from government agencies, partners, royalty owners, and internal stakeholders.
• Investigate and resolve system issues and data discrepancies within Metrix.
• Support internal and external audits relating to production, revenue, transportation, and royalties.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to colleagues while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
