Job summary

CCM Hockey is seeking a seasoned professional to lead field testing and capture player insights for current and future products. You will coordinate on-ice testing, manage samples and equipment, and collaborate with performance lab teams to derive actionable recommendations from player feedback.

The role requires strong hockey background, 5+ years in product testing, and ability to communicate findings through reports and presentations.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years in product testing with high-level hockey experience.
• Understanding of product design/development related to performance.

Responsibilities

• Organize daily field testing, including organizing, storing, and tracking all samples and test equipment.
• Compile player and testing team/leagues data to ensure high-quality insights.
• Assist with internal Performance Lab research, booking players and conducting pre/post-tests.
• Develop on-ice testing protocols and own data collection and reporting of insights.
• Utilize PowerPoint, Excel, and data analysis to transform data into actionable insights for Innovation and Advanced Design.
• Support Product Commercialization by articulating technical advantages as consumer benefits.
• Contribute to making CCM a great place to work.

This position exists tocapturethe player’sperspectiveon our productsduring thedownstreamstageof the development. This role providesplayer insightson current and future products by conducting controlled, scientific appreciation and fit tests.It is important to have someone who has played the game at a high level, understands the game from aplayer’spoint of view,who knows how to build and maintain solid relationships within the hockey worldand can organize,document,and report the findings.It is essential to have the ability to listencloselyto players feedback,ask questions, and formulate recommendations.

Key responsabilities:

• Assuredaily organization of thefield testing, including organizing,storing,and tracking all samples, including maintenance oftestequipment and test facilities.
• Compileplayer and testing team/leaguesdata, including our internal data collectionplatformto ensure thehighest quality player insightscan be obtained.
• Assist with internal Performance Lab research. This may include booking players, preparing all necessary equipment and forms, conducting pre-testsand post-tests, andextracting player feedback and insightswhenever appropriate.
• Develop on-ice testingprotocols andtakeownership of data collection and player feedback collection,implementing it into compelling reports.Extract player insightsfrom the data to ensure actionable information can be communicated to appropriate parties.
• Continuous learning and technical/research skill developmentincluding PowerPoint, excel, and general data analysis techniquerequired to transform data from raw numbers toactionable insightsto providecritical feedback to support Innovation and Advanced Design in new product development.
• Support the Product Commercialization teams in articulatingtheproducts’technical advantages intotangible consumer benefits that players can relate to.

Required Qualifications:

• Years of experience: At least 5 yearsrelated to product testingincluding a requiredhigh level hockey experienceandbasicunderstanding of product design/development as it relates to performance.
