We have a math education brand with a passionate fan-base and are creating a purpose-driven team who loves to collaborate and solve problems with solutions that break new ground. To help our company move to the next level and enable us to build an even more compelling education experience, we are looking for a Product UI Artist.

As a Product UI Artist, you will work on a variety of exciting projects, from interfaces to empower teachers, to engaging and fun gameplay experiences tied to student learning. This work will be done while working closely with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, and marketing to design innovative, user-centric products that align with business goals. You will be responsible for the entire design process, from concept ideation to final implementation, ensuring our products offer a seamless and delightful user experience, while creating any art assets (for example icons) needed for the UI.

What you will be doing

  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Game Designers, Engineers, and other artists to improve the product’s flow and create efficient design solutions
  • Design and improve key features of the Knowledgehook teacher, student, and game platform, ensuring they meet user needs and business objectives
  • Design and create graphics, illustrations, and UI icons to be used in the platform and help contextualize users in the game interface
  • Lead the end-to-end design process, including user research, wireframing, prototyping, visual design, redlining, and usability testing
  • Solution designs to be user-friendly experiences for web, mobile, and other platforms, with responsiveness and accessibility as a priority
  • Create and maintain detailed UI designs, design systems, and components that are scalable and reusable
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of multiple design systems, ensuring brand guidelines are met
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, tools, and techniques, and ensure best practices are applied to the design process
  • Other duties as may be assigned by the company

What you need to succeed

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Product Designer, UX/UI Designer, Game UI Artist or similar role.
  • Proven experience designing digital products (web and mobile) with a portfolio that demonstrates a wide range of design projects.
  • Strong proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design, interaction design principles, and best practices in usability and accessibility
  • Experience designing icons, interfaces, illustrations, and graphics for games is a big plus
  • Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and incorporating feedback into design iterations
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a high level of attention to detail, a strong sense of ownership, and the ability to present ideas and concepts effectively
  • Knowledge of front-end development (HTML/CSS) is a bonus, but not required

What’s in it for you

  • Be part of a transformational organization! The Ed-Tech industry has a direct impact on the education system, empowering students and families with innovative tools and resources to enhance learning outcomes. As an Ed-Tech company, we are revolutionizing the way children learn math and tackling math phobia.
  • Join a winning team! This is a unique opportunity to be part of a thriving team and develop your skills and knowledge. While the journey may be challenging, it will also be immensely rewarding.
  • Join a welcoming and supportive community! Our team is a tight-knit group of individuals who share a common passion for our work, and we collaborate closely to achieve our objectives, creating an intimate and caring community.
  • Competitive Total rewards! Our Total Rewards package aligns with industry standards:
  • We offer a benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, with 100% of premiums paid by the company.
