Job summary

Encore Auctions in London, Ontario is seeking Product Specialists to join our growing team. You will catalog and qualify a wide range of items, unpack, inspect, photograph, and prepare detailed condition reports to ensure accurate weekly auctions.

This is a full-time, permanent role with hours from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm or 7:00 am to 4:15 pm, Monday to Friday, plus Saturday overtime as needed; starting at $19/hour with potential to earn $25/hour based on productivity, plus group benefits after

Some details about the Product Specialist role

As a Product Specialist, you are an important part in the cycle of our auctions. You will work quickly and diligently to add a balanced number of items to our weekly auctions; after all, they say variety is the spice of life. By unpacking, inspecting and completing thorough Condition Reports and enhancing those items with detailed photos of each item, you will ensure accuracy and timely cataloging of a very wide range of small, medium and oversized items.

Who we are looking for in this role...

Cataloguing items is your goal as you sort, unpack, inspect, photograph and complete a condition report for each lot (item). You will report crucial details like missing pieces, working condition (i.e. power), brand new, slight evidence of usage, adjusted quantity, etc. The goal is no surprises for our bidders.The successful candidate prides themselves with their high level of attention to detail and is a fast worker work who can quickly meet their benchmark targets for the department.

What will you need to be successful in this role:

• Availability to work on a full-time permanent basis from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm OR 7:0 am to 4:15 pm, Monday to Friday and mandated Saturday OT as business needs require
• Consistent attendance, reliability and level of maturity that will commit to their role
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
• Ability to lift and carry items up to 40 lbs. regularly throughout the shift
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to frequently bend, reach, squat, twist, and lif t
• Be ready to work and be ready to give it your all- we move fast at Encore
• Ability to meet performance benchmarks
• Ability to read and speak English well
• Great organizational and time management skills
• You have a keen eye and notice the details
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Working with little supervision, self-discipline is paramount
• This role starts at PS Level 1- $19.00 per hour. Based on employee productivity and the ability to maintain higher productivity, Product Specialist have to ability to earn $22 and $25 per hour.

After three months of continuous employment, you will be eligible to enroll with our Group Benefit plan through Manulife- we offer Single or Family coverage with Dental and Vision care included and the employer pays 50% of your premiums. We also offer enrollment with our GRSP (Group Retirement Savings Plan) for those who are interested.
