Job summary

A leading Canadian financial institution in Toronto is seeking a hands-on Product Owner to join its Capital Markets Regulatory team on a 6–12 month contract. You will own product direction for client data, onboarding, and regulatory reporting, and collaborate with two Agile Scrum teams to deliver key data and regulatory applications.

Qualifications

• Experience as Product Owner/PM in a Capital Markets environment.
• Strong knowledge of client data, onboarding, and regulatory reporting.
• Experience managing upstream and downstream data processes.
• Strong SQL skills and data fluency.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery.
• Excellent stakeholder management and prioritization.
• Ability to translate complex business and regulatory requirements into product requirements.
• Autonomous and able to start with minimal onboarding.
• Understanding of financial services in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Own products in Capital Markets, data, and regulatory tech.
• Collaborate with business and tech stakeholders to shape product roadmaps.
• Manage competing priorities and backlogs.
• Support two Agile Scrum teams.
• Define product requirements from complex regulatory needs.
• Contribute to onboarding, counterparty services, data management, and regulatory reporting apps.
