Job summary

Pratt & Whitney Canada in Longueuil is seeking a Product Owner to align stakeholders, developers, and users to deliver valuable features. You will translate vision into actionable requirements and maintain the product backlog with clear acceptance criteria.

You will collaborate with software engineers, designers, and testers in an agile environment, drive prioritization, and participate in sprint activities to ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in product management.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience with product management tools (e.g., ADO).
• Experience in a cross-functional environment and bilingual French/English.

The position is based at our Longueuil location, from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours and exclusively on-site.

What will your day-to-day look like?

Product Vision & Strategy:

• Act as the main point of contact between stakeholders (business, customers, and development teams);
• Gather input, feedback, and requirements from business owners, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure the product meets their needs;
• Organize regular feedback sessions and reviews with stakeholders to ensure alignment;
• Develop and maintain a roadmap outlining product features, enhancements, and deliverables.

Documenting requirements and Backlog Management:

• Create business and functional details requirements;
• Create, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring it is clear and actionable for the development team;
• Write detailed user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and ensuring clarity of requirements;
• Continuously prioritize tasks based on business value, market demand, and technical feasibility;
• Work closely with development teams, including software engineers, designers, and testers, to ensure a shared understanding of requirements and priorities;
• Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews.

Quality Assurance and Testing:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define acceptance criteria;
• Ensure that delivered features meet quality standards and user expectations;
• Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate that delivered solutions meet business requirements and address user needs.

Continuous Improvement:

• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and user feedback to identify areas for improvement and optimization;
• Proactively identify opportunities to enhance processes, tools, and methodologies to drive efficiency and effectiveness;
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the product team and the broader organization.

What do you need to be successful?

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field;
• Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in product management;
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban);
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels;
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining high-quality deliverables;
• Experience with product management tools (e.g. ADO);
• Experience working in a cross-functional environment;
• Bilingualism French/English;
• This position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with UX/UI design principles;
• Experience with B2B applications.
