Senior Product Manager (OMS) Remote - must be in Toronto for occasional on-site meetings 6 month Contract to Hire

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager with deep expertise in Order Management Systems (OMS), specifically within the Equities and sell-side domain, to lead strategic initiatives for a Fortune 500 global bank. In this role, you will:

• Drive the evolution of order and trade management workflows
• Reduce reliance on third-party vendor solutions
• Enhance proprietary OMS capabilities to deliver scalable, client-facing functionality

Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping next-generation trading infrastructure and ensuring alignment with both regulatory and business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Establish key priorities to support & sustain the strategic direction
• Break down strategic problems, analyze data, and provide insights and recommendations
• Own the backlog and structure work for the development team
• Maintain product-specific project plans and align them with other strategic initiatives
• Focus on UX, prioritizing ease of use and engagement
• Support the sales team as the OMS product expert during client conversations
• Manage platform adoption, deliver demos, and conduct training sessions
• Draft reference materials and collaborate with Marketing on branding and distribution

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or Computer Science preferred; equivalent experience considered
• 15+ years of financial industry experience with success in product management, project management, business analysis, or business development
• Strong knowledge of equity market structures across multiple regions and asset classes
• Experience working in collaborative and agile environments; Agile experience is a plus
• Excellent communication skills for direct interaction with hiring managers
