Are you ready to lead in the dynamic world of Satellite enabled IoT? Are you passionate about developing value-added services and managing cutting-edge IoT products? ORBCOMM, a global market leader in the Satellite and Cellular IoT and Supply Chain Visibility space, is looking for a passionate Product Manager, Hardware and Devices to help us maintain our leadership and drive business growth.

In this high-impact, fast-paced role, you will develop solutions that integrate hardware, firmware, satellite and cellular connectivity and added-value offerings, enabling our clients to implement new and innovative applications to track and manage their assets around the world. You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineering, Sales, and external stakeholders to shape the success of your product line, transition customers to new subscription and service models, and grow revenue.

At ORBCOMM, our goal is to bring the world the most reliable, cost-effective, high-performance Satellite Enabled IoT technology to solution providers around the world.

What You’ll Do:

  1. Market Research and Customer Engagement: Identify customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape, focusing on IoT technologies and applications requiring low power, high data and satellite connectivity. Engage customers and industry participants to gather feedback and ensure our products deliver maximum value.
  2. Roadmap Definition: Align product and services requirements with our Satellite IoT Strategy, market trends and technological advancements.
  3. Product Development: Work with cross-functional teams to define and develop satellite/cellular enabled IoT devices and products, subscriptions models and value-added services.
  4. Product Launch and Go-to-Market: Plan and coordinate successful product launches, including go-to-market strategies, pricing, service and subscription offerings, positioning and marketing campaigns. Adapt solutions to meet the needs of Value-Added Resellers, OEMs, Value Added Manufacturers, Application Developers and Direct Customers.
  5. Performance Monitoring and Lifecycle Management: Monitor products and services performance, analyze key metrics, gather user feedback, and analyze market data to identify areas for improvement. Manage the product lifecycle, including product updates, enhancements, and end-of-life decisions.
  6. Stakeholder Management: Communicate progress and roadblocks effectively with all stakeholders. Build strong relationships with key customers and advocate for their needs and interests throughout the product lifecycle process.

Who You Are:

You’re a strategic thinker with a knack for operational excellence, ready to tackle multiple priorities and bring new and innovative IoT products and services. If you have:

  1. Industry Experience: Background in satellite communication, IoT, telematics, or telecommunication industries. An understanding of the IoT landscape, including technologies, applications, and market trends is preferred but not required.
  2. Product Management: 5+ years of experience in Product Management. An inspiring portfolio showcasing products you have successfully grown in market share and revenue.
  3. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and training skills.
  4. Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving ability and analytical business skills. Ability to analyze market data, gather user feedback, and translate insights into product requirements.
  5. Driven: Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
  6. Travel: Willingness to travel to customer and non-customer sites (10%-20%).
