Job summary

Stelumar Advanced Manufacturing Inc. (SAMI) seeks a Product Manager in the Greater Toronto Area to drive housing solutions from concept through production.

You will work across design, engineering, manufacturing, construction, and sales to turn concepts into standardized, production-ready modules and systems. The ideal candidate has a technical background in building systems, 5+ years in product development, and strong project management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 5+ years in product development, engineering, design, construction, or manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of building systems and cross-disciplinary interaction.
• Experience guiding products from concept to production and making design recommendations.
• Proven project management and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead product development from concept through design, testing, validation, and production readiness.
• Evaluate concepts, balance cost, manufacturability, performance, and scalability.
• Gather input from customers, sales, and field teams to define requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, manufacturing, procurement, and construction teams.
• Assess new materials and technologies and recommend options based on cost and lead time.
• Drive value engineering to simplify designs and improve manufacturability.
• Coordinate prototyping, testing, and translate findings into production requirements.
• Develop standardized, repeatable platforms for deployment across housing types.
• Support transition of new products into manufacturing and field installation.
• Define and track product metrics to drive continuous improvement.
