Job description

Product Manager
Job Description:

Thomson Reuters is seeking a dynamic Product Manager to drive the development and commercialization of innovative analytical solutions, ensuring alignment with customer needs and strategic business objectives.

The Product Manager owns the vision, direction, and priorities for a larger, more complex, or strategic product or group of products, managing the full product lifecycle from strategic planning through to tactical execution. They understand the needs of the customers the product is designed to serve in depth, communicate those needs crisply across the organization, and work with design and engineering to translate them into clear priorities, compelling roadmaps, and high-impact solutions. They reason across the full system understanding how decisions in their area impact adjacent products, teams, and the end-to-end customer experience and bring the right people into the room to make trade-offs visible.

They confidently shape product direction with a clear view of commercial impact, balancing short-term delivery with long-term system health and customer trust, and maintain a sharp sense of focus on the right problems, the right customers, and the right investments, treating scope creep and the impulse to build for everyone as the strategic risks they are. The balance between tactical execution and strategic vision is critical at this level, as is the ability to coordinate across multiple functions simultaneously and to lead in building AI-enabled products and experiences with depth and credibility. This is a hybrid role

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the entire product lifecycle from ideation through launch and post-launch optimization, focusing on analytical solutions.
  • Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify new opportunities and inform product strategy.
  • Translate complex customer needs and market insights into clear product requirements and user stories.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, design, sales, and marketing teams to ensure successful product development and commercialization.
  • Develop and execute go‑to‑market strategies, including pricing, positioning, and promotional activities.
  • Monitor product performance, gather customer feedback, and iterate on features to drive continuous improvement and customer engagement.
  • Effectively communicate product vision, roadmap, and updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to maximize organizational efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in product management, particularly with analytical solutions.
  • Strong understanding of product development methodologies and product commercialization processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
  • Demonstrated ability in group problem solving and strategic execution.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy, including advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with marketing and customer engagement strategies.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of effective multitasking.
  • Strong researching abilities to inform product decisions and market understanding.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience managing tax, accounting, or other regulated professional‑services software, ideally enterprise products serving large firms.
  • Hands‑on experience building and launching AI/ML‑enabled products or features, including working with engineering on responsible AI, data quality, and governance.
  • Demonstrated ownership of commercial outcomes such as adoption, retention, and revenue, with experience in pricing, packaging, and business‑case development.
  • Experience mentoring junior Product Managers and leading cross‑functional initiatives without direct authority.
  • Familiarity with product analytics and customer‑feedback tools (e.g., Pendo, Amplitude) to drive data‑informed prioritization.
  • Experience with Agile practices and road‑mapping/backlog tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Lucid).
  • Strong relationships with enterprise customers: running advisory boards, executive briefings, and customer‑success partnerships.
  • Experience with portfolio or product‑integration strategy across multiple products, APIs, or acquired platforms.
