Job summary

RBC is seeking a talented professional to join Global Functions Technology in Toronto as a senior business systems analyst focused on Surveillance Technology. You will act as SME for surveillance systems, elicit requirements for Trade Compliance projects, and drive accurate planning and data-mapping efforts across Capital Markets and Wealth Management.

Responsibilities include documenting complex business logic, shaping user experiences, and building reusable requirement artifacts.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of Trade Surveillance domain and applications.
• 5+ years of experience with business systems analysis and software development.
• Experience defining and documenting complex functional business logic.
• Expertise in data mapping and creating data mapping specifications.
• Expertise in gathering, analyzing and documenting business rules for processing data.
• Expertise in test planning, test case preparation and testing of applications and data mapping.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME for Surveillance Technology systems and processes; lead the surveillance team and partner with the Surveillance business.
• Elicit functional and system requirements for Trade Compliance projects in Capital Markets and Wealth Management.
• Develop plans and accurate estimates for completion of requirements; improve detail and estimate accuracy.
• Analyze and document detailed business and system solution requirements using Agile methodology.
• Define practical user experiences including storytelling, personas, process flows and interactions.
• Build and maintain a repository of reusable requirements documentation to support future initiatives.
• Contribute to project success within budget and on time by identifying risks and suggesting mitigations.
• Collaborate with ETL team, developers, vendor consultants and data sources for data mapping specifications.
