Job summary

WhiteWater West is seeking a Lead, Development Engineering in Richmond, BC to drive state-of-the-art waterpark products from concept to release. You will manage a cross-functional core team, act as the technical authority, and work with engineers, designers, and technicians through prototyping, testing, and manufacturing stages.

The role requires a Canadian-eligible engineer with 5+ years in product design, Stage-Gate experience, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Applied Science degree from a Canadian university or foreign equivalent.
• Registered Professional Engineer in Canada (P.Eng.) or US (P.E.) preferred.
• Minimum 5 years experience in product design environment incl. design, fabrication, prototype testing.
• Product Development and Stage-Gate process experience preferred.
• PMP designation is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead a cross-functional core team to innovate new products using best practices.
• Ensure products follow WhiteWater’s Stage-Gate process and safety/quality requirements.
• Act as technical authority during development and commercialization.
• Coordinate with engineers, designers, and technicians across stages.
• Prepare development schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Oversee engineering documentation and design calculations.
