Job summary

Metro is seeking a Product Development (PD) Assistant to support our Corporate Brands Product Development team two days per week in food preparation, shopping, and various administrative tasks.

Onsite at 5559 Dundas Street W, Ontario, the position involves assisting with food preparation, setting up and cleaning up product testing, coordinating samples, and recording procurement and testing results, with the ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

Qualifications

• Experience in food preparation.
• Diploma or Degree in Food Science or Nutrition would be an asset.
• Understanding of safe food handling, Servsafe certificate an asset.
• Highly organized, able to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills.
• Must have a valid class G driver’s license and access to a car.
• Microsoft 365 – Outlook, Excel, Word.
