Job summary

Metro is seeking a Product Development (PD) Assistant to support our Corporate Brands Product Development team two days per week in food preparation, shopping, and various administrative tasks.

Responsibilities include assisting with food prep, product testing prep/cleanup, shopping for testing, and tracking samples while handling admin duties. Lifting up to 30 lbs is required. This is a part-time position based in Ontario.

Qualifications

• Experience in food preparation.
• Diploma or Degree in Food Science or Nutrition would be an asset.
• Understanding of safe food handling; Servsafe certificate an asset.
• Highly organized; able to manage multiple tasks.
• Strong communication skills.
• Must have a valid class G driver’s license and access to a car.
• Microsoft 365 – Outlook, Excel, Word.
