Job summary

The ALDO Group, a global fashion footwear company based in Montreal, is seeking a Product Coordinator for its ALDO Product Services (APS). This entry-level role suits candidates who thrive in a fast-paced fashion environment and are passionate about product development.

You will support sample management, PLM processes, and collaboration with designers and product developers, using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word to keep catalogs and data organized in a dynamic team setting.

Qualifications

  • University or College degree required.
  • 2 years’ experience in a product-related role is an asset.
  • Highly attuned to fashion trends with the ability to translate them visually.
  • Positive, self-motivated and strong attention to detail.
  • Capable to meet multiple deadlines in a timely manner.
  • Able to work in a high-pressure environment.
  • Able to work both independently and in a team setting.

Responsibilities

  • Daily Sample Reception: unload all boxes received from sample management relating to Product Development (PD) such as sales samples and confirmation samples.
  • Sample Maintenance: manage sample fridge and master collection room; weekly/monthly cleanups and organization.
  • Request and check sample maps from suppliers with support from the Product Developer.
  • Product Lifecycle Management (PLM).
  • Carry over of flow products and colorways.
  • Create products based on Design sketches and developments.
  • Support Product Developer with product adoption and handover.
  • Product-season attribute maintenance; material breakdown, HTS, and custom attribute maintenance.
  • Manage defects/deleted articles post-handover, communicating with POM and buying teams.
  • General assistance in administrative tasks.

About The Role

ALDO Product Services (APS) partners with major global retailers to deliver branded wholesale, private label, and sourcing solutions. The Product coordinator is an entry level role which is ideal for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced environment all the while being driven by their passion for fashion.

Responsibilities
  • Daily Sample Reception: unload all boxes received from sample management team relating to Product Development (PD) such as sales samples and confirmation samples.
  • Sample Maintenance: work with Product Developers and Designers to maintain order in sample fridge and master collection room. Weekly cleanup of collection room and monthly cleanup of sample fridge expected as well as sample organization by category/silhouette.
  • Request and check sample maps from suppliers relating to handovers with support from the Product Developer
  • Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
  • Carry over of flow products and colorways.
  • Create products based on Design sketches and developments.
  • Support Product Developer with product adoption.
  • Product-season attribute maintenance.
  • Material breakdown, HTS, and custom attribute maintenance.
  • Support Product Developer with product handover.
  • Manage defects/deleted articles post-handover, communicating with POM and buying teams.
  • General assistance in administrative tasks.
Requirements
  • Strong computer skills
  • Mandatory Proficiency in Excel, Power Point, and Word
  • University or College degree
  • 2 years’ experience in a relevant product related role is an asset
  • Highly attuned to fashion trends with the ability to translate them visually
  • Positive, self-motivated and strong attention to detail
  • Capable to meet multiple deadlines in a timely manner
  • Able to work in a high-pressure environment
  • Able to work both independently and in a team setting
