At FortNine, the Product Data Manager is at the heart of our e-commerce. You’re an online pro, comfortable navigating and obtaining data all over the internet. As we continue growing, so do the number of items we have available; you’d play a pivotal role in setting up new products, maintaining product data for our ecommerce platform, managing listings, optimizing product visibility, and analyzing data that will contribute to our market dominance.

We’re looking for someone that is technologically comfortable, experienced in navigating multiple programs with speed and precision, and who has an interest in the Marine space. We’ll provide you with all the tools and resources necessary for your success and to become a fully-fledged FortNiner! Please note: This is an entry-level role! We hope to invest in and develop our staff by providing comprehensive training, a great learning environment, and exposure to the broader world of e-commerce! Any and all tech-savvy candidates are invited to apply.

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Selectting new products to be added to our website
  2. Preparing data feeds for new products using information collected from various sources, while maintaining accurate and up-to-date product information
  3. Organizing and enhancing product data to assist customers in understanding product differences
  4. Resolving catalog/data issues, including missing or outdated information, erroneous images, among others

Job Requirements:

  • Knowledge of the Marine industry is a strong asset
  • Understanding of e-commerce shopping; familiarity with favorite online stores and their features
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel), including formulas and macros, with a basic understanding of best practices
  • Strong computer and internet browser/data manipulation skills (copy-paste, googling)
  • Must be based locally (Montreal, QC)
  • Excellent written and verbal skills in English
  • Bonus: Knowledge of SQL, scripting, basic familiarity with CSS and HTML
