At FortNine, the Product Data Manager is central to our e-commerce operations. You’re an online pro, comfortable navigating and sourcing data across the internet. As we grow, so does our product catalog; you’ll be instrumental in setting up new products, maintaining product data for our platform, managing listings, optimizing product visibility, and analyzing data to support our market leadership.

We’re seeking someone technologically adept, experienced in using multiple programs efficiently, with an interest in the Marine industry. We will provide all necessary tools and resources to ensure your success and integration into the FortNine team. If you enjoy working in a tech-focused e-commerce environment with an inclusive community that values personal development, you’ll fit right in. Get in touch! We’d love to meet.

Please note: This is an entry-level role! We aim to invest in our staff through comprehensive training, a supportive learning environment, and exposure to the broader e-commerce landscape. All tech-savvy candidates are encouraged to apply.

Major Responsibilities:
  1. Select new products to be added to our website.
  2. Prepare data feeds for new products using information from various sources, ensuring accuracy and currency of product information.
  3. Organize and enhance product data to help customers understand product differences.
  4. Resolve catalog/data issues, such as missing or outdated information and erroneous images.
Job Requirements:
  1. Knowledge of the Marine industry is a strong asset.
  2. Understanding of e-commerce shopping behaviors and preferences.
  3. Proficiency in spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel), including formulas and macros, with an understanding of best practices.
  4. Strong computer and internet browsing/data manipulation skills.
  5. Must be based locally (Montreal, QC).
  6. Excellent written and verbal English skills.
  7. Bonus: Knowledge of SQL, scripting, and basic familiarity with CSS and HTML.
What we offer:
  • Starting salary between $45,000 and $50,000 annually.
  • Paid personal days.
  • Health insurance including medical, dental, vision, and life coverage.
  • Unlimited free healthy snacks and drinks on site.
  • Quiet, clean, and modern office environment.
  • Located within a 5-minute walk from Du College station (orange line) with free parking.
  • Ergonomic workstations and top-quality tools.
  • Respectful and friendly coworkers.
  • Accessible by public transit or free parking.
  • A strong culture promoting collective success and individual growth, with great parties.
