Job summary

MacLean Engineering is seeking a Product Analyst to join our Product Management team in Ontario. In this role you will help develop plans, funnel data to sales, review quotes, and deliver product demonstrations to customers.

You will gather feedback and shape product performance, with travel to key customers alongside the sales team. The ideal candidate has a degree in engineering or business, strong communication, and a proactive learning mindset.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma or degree in engineering or business.
• Aptitude to learn underground mining equipment environment.
• High level of computer literacy with MS Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication; professional representation of MacLean.

The Position

Responsibilities and Duties

• Participate in the Product Management team to develop and implement plans and actions
• Funnel data and marketing material to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the sales process.
• Review quotes/ custom options and conduct order reviews once POs have been received
• Provide product demonstrations to potential customers.
• Develop content for sales proposals & develop sales training material for sales personnel.
• Gather customer feedback and performance data to ensure that product performance and specifications meet customer requirements.
• Develop spare parts recommendations for customer use.
• Participate actively in complex, multi-year mining equipment sales.
• Travel, both domestic and internationally, is a requirement of this position. Visit key customers in conjunction with the sales team to provide in-depth product knowledge.
• Stay current on industry developments, competitive offerings and issues affecting sales and customers.
• Take responsibility for personal development and enhancement of skills

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, leadership abilities, and problem‑solving capabilities. They will demonstrate organizational skills, discipline, an aptitude for proactive learning, and a positive attitude. Additionally, they should meet the following qualifications:

• Post-secondary Diploma or Degree, for example in Engineering or Business
• Aptitude to learn the technology and underground mining equipment / environment
• High level of computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office
• High level of professionalism, honesty and integrity
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, need to be able to positively represent MacLean when talking to customers
• Excellent listening skills
• Bilingualism is an asset (French and/or other languages are desirable)
