Choices Market in Vancouver's Yaletown location is hiring a Produce Lead Hand to oversee the produce department and support daily operations. You will supervise staff, ensure high-quality produce, and assist customers with a friendly, can-do attitude.

We value reliability, strong communication, and the ability to use Outlook/Excel. This full-time in-person role offers wage of $19.25/hour and a benefits package including dental, extended health care, paid time off, store discount, and vision care.

Qualifications

• Must show maturity to supervise others.

Responsibilities

• Direct workflow and oversee the department.
• Order, receive and merchandise product effectively.

• Rotate items to maintain freshness and quality.
• Operate a till when needed.

We are seeking someone who:

• has work experience within a produce department setting;
• is service-oriented and can respond to customer needs;
• can efficiently perform basic functions in Microsoft Outlook and Excel;
• is capable of lifting up to 70 lbs; and
• is willing and able to stand on their feet all day.

Responsibilities of a Produce Lead Hand include:

• directing workflow and overseeing the department;
• ordering, receiving and merchandising product effectively;
• serving customers promptly with a positive attitude;
• washing, trimming and culling produce;
• keeping the shelves, bins and displays stocked;
• rotating items to ensure freshness and excellent quality;
• running a till to serve customers when needed; and
• adhering to OHS guidelines and maintaining clean, safe work areas.
