Job summary

Calgary Co-op is seeking a diligent Produce Utility Clerk to support the Produce Department with customer service, stock management and display upkeep in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will cull, stock, face displays, handle merchandise with care, and ensure safety and quality while following company policies. Grade 9 plus retail experience preferred; fluent English required. Join a cooperative that emphasizes employee growth and community focus.

Qualifications

• Grade 9 or acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Related retail experience, including the provision of customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provides customer service and maintains positive customer relations.
• Performs all aspects of the Produce Utility function: culling, stocking, displays and facing.
• Maintains display presentation and stock levels; handles merchandise quality and price integrity.
• Performs general cleanup, cleans spills, keeps department neat and back stock area clean.
• Follows Occupational Health & Safety, Food Safety and Environmental regulations.
• Manages ordering, receiving, invoices, returns and transfers.
• Assists in organizing and conducting inventory.
