Position Summary

Thales requires a Procurement Subcontract Manager who will be responsible for managing assigned Subcontractors supporting strategic projects and Business Lines. Subcontractors may be developing and delivering complex, high-risk, high-value services under specific long-term subcontract agreements. The Subcontract Manager oversees the lifecycle of these Subcontractors, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, managing risks, and acting as a point of escalation.

Key Areas of Responsibility

1. Execute subcontract negotiations with favorable conditions that meet or exceed corporate mandates while supporting project timelines. Communicate effectively with internal customers and stakeholders.
2. Ensure Subcontractor requirements are met, achieving favorable conditions and aligning with technical, program, cost, and performance requirements. Monitor performance using standardized KPIs and address issues as needed.
3. Review and monitor subcontractor performance metrics, enforce contractual agreements, and address performance issues with internal support.
4. Review subcontractor financial stability, identify risks, recognize trigger points for further analysis, and manage contract claims with legal support when necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in similar activities.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with Federal Government contracting.
• Proven ability to understand and execute contract terms & conditions.
• Experience in complex contract negotiations.
