Position Summary

Thales requires a Procurement Subcontract Manager who will be responsible for managing assigned Subcontractors supporting strategic projects and Business Lines. Subcontractors may be developing and delivering complex, high-risk, high-value services under long-term subcontract agreements. The Subcontract Manager oversees the lifecycle of these Subcontractors, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, managing risks, and acting as an escalation point when necessary.

Key Areas of Responsibility

1. Negotiate subcontracts with favorable conditions, supporting project timelines, and engaging with internal stakeholders.
2. Ensure subcontractor requirements are met, monitor performance, and address areas for improvement using standardized KPIs.
3. Review subcontractor performance metrics, enforce contractual agreements, and address performance issues with internal teams.
4. Monitor subcontractor financial stability, identify risks, and manage contract claims, involving legal support when necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Bachelor degree or diploma in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
2. At least 8 years of relevant experience in similar activities.
3. Minimum 3 years of experience with Federal Government contracting.
4. Experience in understanding and executing contract terms & conditions.
5. Proven ability in complex contract negotiations.
