Overview

MaxSys – an Agilus company, is seeking a Junior Procurement to support one of our federal client. The services aim to ensure accurate and up-to-date records and supporting efficient materiel management. It is focused cataloguing and data entry activities as specified and must align with the Supply Administration Manual for materiel management and data accuracy.

Job Details

We're Hiring: Procurement Specialist

Location: Hybrid - Ottawa

Contract Duration: ASAP until March 2026 plus 3 one year option periods

Hours: 37.5 per week

Language Requirement: English

Security Clearance: Secret must have - at least eligible for it (must be residing in Canada since 10 years)

Must-Haves

2 years of performing data entry in ERP systems – like SAP, Oracle, but not limited to list

2 years of procurement tasks - identifying suppliers, evaluating bids, preparing documents.

2 years of practical experience using MS Excel or spreadsheet applications to perform data entry.

Responsibilities
  • Process cataloging amendments and new requests, ensuring accurate data entry and verification through relevant cataloguing systems.
  • Perform data downloads, manipulate spreadsheets, prepare reports, and manage bulk uploads.
  • Maintain databases and track ongoing and completed cataloguing requests.
  • Conduct basic quality control to ensure accuracy of records.
  • Assist and coach staff on cataloguing requirements and procedures via email and virtual tools.
  • Resolve creation issues and provide estimated timelines for resolution.
  • Develop and update SOPs, flowcharts, and training materials to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
