Job summary

Ericsson Canada Inc. in Ottawa is seeking an experienced professional to oversee the end-to-end purchase order lifecycle for PMO-driven procurement activities.

You will ensure requests are processed accurately, vendors followed up, payments completed on time, and purchase orders closed in compliance with Ericsson's policies and controls. The role is on-site in Ottawa, with collaboration across Project Managers, Trade Compliance, Strategic Sourcing, Accounts Payable, and vendors to deliver

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of purchase order management, procurement operations, vendor administration, or accounts payable support.
• Experience in project-based, engineering, R&D, telecom, or global business environments is an asset.
• Working knowledge of SAP-based procurement and financial processes is preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with Pivot Tables, lookups, data analysis and reporting; strong Power BI skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full purchase order lifecycle from intake to closure, vendor follow-up, and payment confirmation.
• Process purchase orders for PMO-driven procurement activities for product development projects.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Program Managers, Trade Compliance, Strategic Sourcing, Accounts Payable, and vendors.
• Track PO status, delivery progress, invoices, payment timelines and aging items.
• Resolve issues related to missing information, pricing discrepancies, invoicing errors, and vendor discrepancies.
• Maintain procurement records and audit-ready documentation.
• Ensure all PO activities comply with Ericsson policies, controls, and authorization processes.
• Prepare status updates, dashboards, KPI scorecards and management reports using Excel and Power BI.
• Support project financial tracking, planning and operational reporting for PMO procurement activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve procurement visibility, cycle-time predictability and process consistency.

About This Opportunity

This role supports Ericsson's Ottawa Radio Project Management Office (PMO) by overseeing the end-to-end purchase order lifecycle for procurement activities tied to PMO-driven product development projects. The successful candidate ensures that requests are processed accurately, vendors are followed up with proactively, payments are completed on time, and purchase orders are closed in full compliance with Ericsson's policies and financial controls. This is an experienced, on-site position based in Ottawa, Canada.

What you will do:

• Manage the full purchase order lifecycle - from initial request intake through vendor follow-up, payment confirmation, and final closure
• Process purchase orders for a range of procurement activities supporting PMO-driven product development projects
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Program Managers, Trade Compliance, Strategic Sourcing, Accounts Payable, and internal or external vendors
• Track purchase order status, delivery progress, invoices, payment timelines, and outstanding aging items
• Resolve issues related to missing information, pricing discrepancies, invoicing errors, goods or service receipt, payment delays, and vendor discrepancies
• Maintain accurate procurement records, supporting documentation, and audit-ready evidence
• Ensure all purchase order activities comply with Ericsson's procurement processes, financial controls, delegation of authority, and audit requirements
• Prepare clear status updates, dashboards, KPI scorecards, and management reports using Excel and Power BI
• Support project financial tracking, planning, and operational reporting for PMO-related procurement activities
• Identify opportunities to improve procurement visibility, cycle-time predictability, and process consistency

The skills you bring:

• Diploma or undergraduate degree in business, finance, supply chain, operations, commerce, or a related field
• 5-10 years of experience in purchase order management, procurement operations, vendor administration, accounts payable support, or a comparable role
• Experience in project-based, engineering, R&D, telecommunications, or global business environments is considered an asset
• Working knowledge of SAP-based procurement and financial processes is preferred
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, lookups, data analysis, and reporting
• Strong Power BI skills for building dashboards, tracking metrics, and enhancing procurement visibility
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage across multiple stakeholder groups
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and bring tasks to resolution

Your Pay

The salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.

The salary range for this position is

• Ottawa: $69,000.00 - $90,300.00

Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan:

Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit’s objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Your Time

Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 18 days of accrued vacation, plus at least 3personal days, minimum 10 holidays, 1 volunteer day, and sick days. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee’s start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 10 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
