Job summary

TRS Staffing Solutions is seeking a Procurement Manager in Vancouver, Canada, to join a leading EPCM organization and support major mining projects. This role demands extensive procurement leadership across multi-disciplinary teams and field and home-office collaboration.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years of procurement management experience in EPCM, strong negotiation skills, and proven ability to deliver reports and interface with project controls, contracts, construction, finance, and HSE.

Qualifications

• At least 15 years of related procurement management experience in large EPCM projects.
• Technical knowledge of procurement management processes.
• Experience in mining is required.
• Experience leading procurement management activities in large EPCM projects is an asset.
• An effective communicator.

Responsibilities

• Direct all procurement management development activities including quotation requests, negotiation, change management, project execution and close-out.
• Perform evaluations, claim reviews, and negotiation.
• Manage and oversee procurement management processes in accordance with PPM and PEP.
• Supervise and lead all aspects of procurement management activities including material planning, purchasing, logistics.
• Support bid evaluation plans.
• Interface management including project controls, contracts, construction, finance, HSE.
• Prepare, issue, and present all relevant reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned/required.

• An effective communicator
