Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement initiatives, from intake and sourcing strategy through supplier selection, approvals, and contract execution.
• Develop sourcing and negotiation strategies aligned with business objectives, commercial goals, and risk requirements.
• Negotiate commercial and contractual terms directly with suppliers.
• Evaluate supplier proposals and present recommendations to stakeholders and senior management.
• Manage multiple complex procurement initiatives, competing priorities, and timelines.
• Partner with business stakeholders, Legal, Third Party Risk Management, Information Security, Privacy, Compliance, Finance, and other functions.
• Identify and elevate risks, issues, and contractual exceptions.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with applicable policies, controls, and governance requirements.
• Use market intelligence, data, analytics, and procurement tools to support decisions and negotiations.
• Contribute to process improvements, knowledge sharing, and team development.

Job description

Procurement Manager, Sourcing and Contracting.

Contract term: November 2, 2026 – September 2, 2027

Work arrangement: Hybrid, four days onsite per week

Locations: Toronto or Mississauga.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, core business hours

Pay Rate: $56/hr + 4% vacation pay

About the opportunity

Join the Enterprise Procurement team at our client and lead complex sourcing and contracting initiatives from strategy through negotiation and executed agreement. This role combines strategic sourcing and contract management, partnering with business teams, suppliers, Legal, and risk and control functions to achieve strong commercial outcomes while meeting governance requirements.

What you’ll bring

• At least 8 years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or contract management.
• At least 8 years of experience leading end-to-end procurement transactions, from sourcing strategy through contract execution.
• Demonstrated experience negotiating both commercial and contractual terms directly with suppliers.
• Experience partnering with business stakeholders, Legal, and risk and control functions.
• Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Commercial acumen and the ability to assess and manage risk.
• Excellent stakeholder-management skills and the ability to build productive relationships.
• The ability to manage multiple complex initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Assets

• Experience in financial services or another highly regulated industry.
• A procurement, supply chain, or contract management certification.
• Experience sourcing technology, operations, or enterprise services.
• Familiarity with formal governance and risk management frameworks.
• Experience with Ariba, Coupa, and Microsoft Office.
• Extension or permanent conversion may be possible based on business needs and performance.
