Job summary

Maple Leaf Foods Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Governance Analyst to join our Governance team in Mississauga, Canada.

The role focuses on compliance, analytics, and process optimization across the supply chain network. The incumbent will develop governance protocols, build dashboards with Power BI and Excel, and lead analytics projects from concept to implementation while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and cost reductions.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in analytical, governance or comparable role.
  • Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills with good judgement and critical thinking.
  • Strong skillset with Excel and Power BI.
  • Knowledge of procurement systems (i.e. SAP, Ariba, MRP/ERP, Agentic AI)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage analytical projects from conception to implementation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Adaptability and agility in responding to changing business needs.
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean) preferred.
  • Strong oral & written communication skills.
  • Take initiative to increase process efficiency and drive costs out.
  • Foster a diverse and inclusive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve adherence to established governance protocols.
  • Create and maintain documentation for policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Develop and maintain supply chain analytics dashboards using AI, Excel and Power BI to monitor KPIs and identify trends
  • Lead complex data analysis projects to improve supply chain visibility, compliance, and performance
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to implement governance frameworks and change management initiatives
  • Identify process inefficiencies and develop innovative solutions to optimize procurement operations
  • Communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels
  • Collaborate effectively with the procurement, operations and corporate purchasing requestor team members to ensure adherence to governance protocols

The Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Governance Analyst to join our Procurement Governance team. As a member of the Procurement team, this role will focus on driving compliance, operational excellence through analytics, change management, and process optimization. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical capabilities with business acumen to identify improvement opportunities and implement governance protocols across the supply chain network.

Reason for vacancy: Existing Headcount

Base Salary: $59,000 – $87,000 CAD base pay annually

The above base salary reflects the target compensation for the position at the time of posting. The base salary offered may vary based on a variety of factors including skills, experience, education, training, job- related knowledge, and other organizational requirements. For part-time roles, salaries are adjusted according to scheduled hours.
