Job summary

FlatironDragados in Canada seeks a detail-oriented Procurement Agent to source materials and services for multiple projects in Edmonton. You will qualify vendors, manage procurement records, and support contract negotiation under supervision.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree (Business, Supply Chain, or Construction Management) and 1+ year construction experience, plus strong MS Office skills and the ability to multitask within a team to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain or Construction Management preferred.
  • 1+ year related construction experience preferred.
  • Introductory knowledge of Microsoft Office with general database use; JD Edwards E1 World a plus.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Able to identify, track and communicate project plan steps and actions.
  • Team player who can also work independently to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Qualifies and evaluates vendors of materials, subcontractors, and service providers for procurement recommendations.
  • Communicates and enforces procurement policies to district and project teams.
  • Collects and maintains procurement analytics, reporting and deliverables.
  • Maintains records of goods ordered and received; supports AP reconciliation.
  • Assists in creation and negotiation of contracts under supervision.

Job description

Are you a detail-oriented professional with expertise in negotiation? As a Procurement Agent, you play a crucial role in sourcing the right products and materials that drive success for one or more projects in a division. Your expertise ensures that projects are equipped with high-quality resources, enabling teams to deliver exceptional results on time and within budget. Collaborate with industry experts and committed teams to shap e our supply chain and ensuring the smooth flow of operations .

What You Will Be Doing
  • Qualifies and evaluates vendors of materials, subcontractors, and service providers for recommendation to the Procurement Manager or others for use on projects.
  • Communicates and enforces procurement policies and procedures to the district and project teams.
  • Collects and maintains procurement analytics, reporting and deliverables.
  • Maintains the records of goods ordered and received; supports Accounts Payable reconciliation.
  • Helps in the creation and negotiation of contracts under the supervision and guidance of a procurement manager .
What We Are Looking For
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business , Supply Chain or Construction Management preferred.
  • 1+ year related construction experience preferred.
  • Introductory knowledge of Microsoft Office (Power Point, Word, Excel) with general knowledge of database utilization. JD Edwards E1 World experience is a plus.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently and accurately
  • Able to identify, track and communicate project plan steps and actions.
  • Team player with the ability to also work independently to meet fixed deadlines, goals and objectives.
