Job summary

Organigram Global, a leading Canadian cannabis producer, is seeking a Processing Technician in Winnipeg, full-time. You will support SOP/GMP compliance in a fast-paced production setting, conduct sampling and weighing to sustain product quality, and collaborate with supervision to ensure smooth shift operations.

Ideal candidates will be organized, proactive, and capable of working both independently and in teams, with strong communication and safety orientation.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Comply with SOPs and GMP in a full-scale production environment.
  • Conduct sampling, weighing and analysis to maintain product quality standards.
  • Escalate issues to shift lead/supervisor as needed.
  • Maintain clean and organized production areas and start/cleanup checklists.
  • Document information accurately throughout daily routines.
  • Collaborate with shift lead/supervisor to ensure all shift tasks are completed.
  • Perform cleaning and maintenance of production stations.
  • Adhere to health and safety policies; escalate deviations when observed.
  • Notify lead/supervisor of production constraints or quality deviations.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Processing Technician

Location: Winnipeg
Status: Full-time
Reports to: Production Manager
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7 am to 530 pm

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, our ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes initiative, displays problem-solving and decision-making abilities, has excellent organizational skills and can maintain a positive, professional attitude in a fast paced and changing work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) in a full-scale production environment.
  • Conduct programs of sampling, weighing and analysis to maintain quality standards of products.
  • Responsible for escalating issues to shift lead/supervisor
  • Responsible for general housekeeping of production area.
  • Responsible for completion of startup/cleaning checklists
  • Ensure accurate information and data are being documented throughout the day to day routine
  • Collaborate with shift lead/supervisor to ensure all tasks are completed for the shift
  • Cleaning and maintenance of production stations
  • Adherence to health and safety policies
  • Escalate quality deviations or production constraints to shift lead/supervisor
  • Other duties as may be required.
Qualifications
  • Strong sense of work quality and safety;
  • Effortlessly takes direction and follows through on tasks;
  • Capable of working both independently and on a team;
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal;
  • Positive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Experience in food manufacturing and/or in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment would be considered an asset;
  • Previous production experience would be considered an asset;
  • Keen eye for detail;
  • Ability to meeting physical demands including reaching, bending, walking, standing and performing repetitive work;
  • Flexibility to work shift work as required.
