The Opportunity

The Process & System Improvement portfolio leads impactful change initiatives using LEAN and other methodologies to support continuous improvement. The Provincial Preschool Autism Service (PPAS), a partnership among IWK Health, Nova Scotia Health, Hearing and Speech Nova Scotia, and Autism Nova Scotia, provides family-centred services to preschoolers across Nova Scotia with suspected or diagnosed Autism. The Process & System Improvement Consultant supports strategic planning, high-risk organization-wide change initiatives, and change sustainment, utilizing lean principles, change management, project management, and data management. Reporting will be matrixed with the Manager, Process & System Improvement.

Hours of Work

Monday-Friday, 0830-1630; 37.5 hours per week.

Your Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Health Services Administration, Health Information Management, Business Administration, or Industrial Engineering required; Master’s degree an asset.
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience leading strategic or performance improvement projects.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of program planning, strategic planning, lean principles, change management, project management, and data analysis.
  • Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, relational databases, visual management, project management, and simulation software.
  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving, team-building, communication, interpersonal, facilitation, initiative, and organizational skills.
  • Other language skills are an asset.
