Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for maintaining and creating production routings and bills of material from engineering documentation. Plans the material flow, labor, and tooling requirements for new and existing products.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  1. Interpret engineering releases by implementing Engineering Change Orders and Notices (ECO, ECN), and Engineering Authorized Deviations (EAD).
  2. Create production routings with estimated labor times for fabricated parts, assemblies, and installations (as applicable).
  3. Calculate raw material usage for new fabricated parts (where applicable).
  4. Update production routings of component parts and sub-assemblies.
  5. Support new design and contract tasks such as CFA level routings, bill split and reconciliation, structure kit routings, and install hours reconciliation.
  6. Load and revise standard estimating data.
  7. Maintain manufacturing bills for sales releases.
  8. Create and distribute drawing packages for the shop floor.
  9. Complete process planning audits and output reports.
  10. Interpret and complete Planning Change Requests (PCR).
  11. Coordinate with manufacturing engineering, production, inventory control, purchasing, and production planning to implement engineering changes.
  12. Provide labor estimates for bid & sales release customer requests (SRCR).
  13. Participate in process improvement projects.
  14. Assist in resolving MRP processing errors.
  15. Attend virtual reviews as required.
  16. Support manufacturing and production engineering teams.
  17. Assist with related process planning tasks as needed.
  18. Participate in SWAT meetings and address open SWAT issues.
  19. Conduct process observations as assigned.
  20. Support lean manufacturing initiatives.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
  1. Post-secondary degree in engineering or technology, or equivalent manufacturing process planning experience.
  2. APICS or CPIM certification preferred.
  3. Experience in labor and materials planning in an MRO environment.
  4. Proficiency in Oracle and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
  5. Ability to travel up to 0%-10% of the time (preferred).
  6. Eligible to obtain U.S. work authorization (preferred).
