Qualifications :
Education : Post-Secondary school certificate, diploma or degree in Engineering program or equivalent experience.
Experience : 5 years’ experience in an automotive manufacturing environment. PLC, electrical and robot experience is an asset.

Training : Training requirements and courses will be specified on the training matrix.
Safety Responsibilities :
- Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, including all requirements outlined in Section 28.
- Review, understand, and comply with all policies and procedures in the Dresden Industrial Health and Safety Manual.
Quality Responsibilities :
- Maintain quality standards on all products and processes.
- Ensure all manufacturing processes meet or exceed quality expectations.
- Comply with TS 16949 standards when implementing and performing all company procedures.
- Integrate environmental practices and commit to continuous improvement of the EMS.
- Comply with ISO 14001 standards.
General Responsibilities :
- Oversee all manufacturing processes to ensure reliability, safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Assist in planning, specification, procurement, installation, and launch of new tooling and equipment required for new programs.
- Manage engineering changes to tooling and equipment.
- Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance program as required.
- Document all processes such as flow charts, operator instructions, PFMEA’s, and changeover procedures.
- Design fixtures and implement Poka-yoke systems.
- Troubleshoot pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic equipment.
- Collaborate with supervisors and quality departments to resolve manufacturing and assembly problems.
- Manage and ensure adherence to project timelines.
- Engage in continuous improvement activities to optimize manufacturing processes, material handling, and cell and line layout.
- Assist in program launches and ensure successful outcomes.
- Conduct process studies and capability determinations; accurately set output standards as required.
- Prepare advanced and ongoing capacity planning documentation as required.
- Foster a positive team environment and assist coworkers as necessary.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
