Job summary

Imperial invites applications for an Engineering Intern in Sarnia, ON. You will support Process Engineering, Applications & Systems, Environmental Engineering or Maintenance Reliability, assisting day-to-day operations and longer-term initiatives to ensure safe, reliable and compliant plant performance.

You are an Engineering student returning to full-time studies after the work term, available for January or May 2027, with leadership and strong academic skills.

What Role You Will Play In Our Team

As an Engineering Intern, you will support one of our specialized teams within the refinery operations, including Process Engineering, Applications & Systems, Environmental Engineering, or Maintenance Reliability Engineer. You will work closely with integrated teams to support day-to-day operations and long-term initiatives, ensuring safe, reliable, and environmentally compliant operations.

About You

Skills and Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Process Control, Computer Science, or Environmental Engineering from a Canadian Accredited University.
• University Engineering student available for a work term beginning in January or May 2027
• Currently enrolled in a University Engineering program and returning to full-time studies after the work term
• Demonstrated leadership and strong academic skills
• Your most recent unofficial transcript(s) must be submitted with your application

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

• Commitment to safety.
• Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and results-oriented individuals who enjoy working with people and achieving superior results.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team-based environment.
• Previous industry experience is beneficial but not essential.

Your Benefits

The expected annual salary range for this position is $63,600.00 - $82,320.00. Individual pay will be determined based on various factors, which may include skills, abilities, qualifications, work experience, and education.
