Job description

We are looking for a process and continuous improvement engineer to join our busy manufacturing facility in Cornwall, Ontario. What We Offer :

• Salary : $86,500 - $95,000 / yr
• Job Type / Shift : Full time – Days and as business needed
• Benefits : Comprehensive Benefit program – employer paid with extended options

What You'll Do :

• Participate in daily production meetings.
• Identify recurring problems in production leading to quality and production losses, Investigate and provide solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity around production processes and operations.
• Complete, analyze, report and recommend on time and motion studies.
• Set up and execute projects on areas such as product reject reduction, quality improvements, manufacturing processes, Waste reduction, CAPEX expenditure.
• Provide recommendations on equipment upgrades, new process developments, industry improvements and facility investments.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, updates and technology upgrades, providing regular suggestive actions as a result.
• Manage new product development and improvements.
• Report, initiate and manage continuous improvement projects and initiatives.
• Work with full operational teams on the best practices, processes and manufacturing practices.

What We're Looking For :

• Engineering degree in Industrial, Process, Manufacturing or similar designation.
• 3-5 years’ experience within the manufacturing industry in an engineering / continuous improvement role.
• Proven “hands-on” approach with production and operations.
• Proven experience and knowledge within the continuous improvement principles.
• Experience in the packaging industry is an asset.
• Bilingual in English and French is an asset.
