Job summary

The City of Toronto is seeking two Engineers within the Process, Innovation & Energy (PIE) unit to advance water and energy management through innovative engineering solutions. The role requires a P.Eng.

with Ontario registration, with responsibilities spanning project leadership, technical reviews, and regulatory reporting. Primary location is Metro Hall, Toronto, with travel to other offices and facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with Professional Engineers Ontario.
• Completion of a post-secondary degree in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g. chemical, civil, mechanical or environmental).
• Considerable engineering experience in wastewater, drinking water or related fields; data analytics and energy management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage projects with effective teamwork and communication.
• Provide technical advice and apply engineering principles to operations and maintenance.
• Initiate and lead technical studies and projects; direct project teams to meet timelines.
• Prepare regulatory reports, procurement documents, and technical memoranda.
