Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Engineering degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related engineering experience.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues and identify underlying causes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-directed, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and execute engineering projects that evaluate, select, adapt, or modify manufacturing techniques, procedures, and criteria to improve Processing operations.
  • Provide technical direction and support for continuous improvement initiatives, including the implementation of technologies that improve safety, quality, efficiency, or cost performance.
  • Monitor equipment and process performance, conduct root cause problem solving for key downtime drivers, and develop effective action plans to improve operational performance.
  • Support equipment qualification and validation activities, including FAT, SAT, DQ, IQ, OQ, and PQ, as directed.
  • Lead or participate in investigations related to nonconformances, complaints, audit observations, and Corrective and Preventive Actions, including trend analysis and communication.
  • Partner with Operators, Maintenance, Quality, Technical Operations, and Processing stakeholders to identify and implement equipment repairs, equipment improvements, and process changes.
  • Support equipment acquisition activities, including user requirement specifications, equipment selection, installation, validation, employee training, and related documentation.
  • Prepare protocols, reports, presentations, training documents, standard operating procedures, and other technical documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

What you will do

The Process Engineer supports continuous improvement within the Processing area by leading and executing projects that improve safety, quality, efficiency, and cost effectiveness. Following an initial training period supporting the Senior Process Engineer, the incumbent transitions to independently managing projects and technical activities.

The role also supports deviation investigations, corrective action identification and implementation, effectiveness checks, and equipment qualification and validation. Working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external partners, the Process Engineer applies statistical and problem-solving tools to validate improvements and leads projects to completion on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

What We Are Looking For
Required qualifications :
  • Bachelor of Engineering degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related engineering experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based and cross-functional environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues and identify underlying causes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-directed, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, vendors, and contractors.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Desired qualifications :
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Experience in solid-dose manufacturing or packaging within an over-the-counter or pharmaceutical facility.
  • Experience with tablet manufacturing for consumer goods or pharmaceutical products.
  • Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice quality systems.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and experience applying them in an operational environment.
What’s in it for you

Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges:$61,000.00 - $97,175.00

This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
