Job summary

Pro Hockey Life in Edmonton is seeking a Pro Shop Service Technician who connects with customers and uses hands-on skills to set up, repair and maintain hockey equipment. You will assess needs, diagnose issues, and provide maintenance recommendations while ensuring safety so customers return to the ice.

The role involves performing hockey equipment repairs (skate sharpening, profiling, holder and runner installation, gear repairs), keeping the pro shop area and equipment in excellent condition,

Qualifications

• Passionate and knowledgeable about the game of hockey.
• Previous pro shop experience is a strong asset.
• Mechanical inclination and aptitude.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Description of the Role

As a Pro Shop Service Technician, you’re as good with people as you are with your hands. After all, it’s your job to interact with customers, assess their needs, and then setup, repair and maintain their hockey equipment. You will assess, diagnose and provide recommendations for maintenance and servicing while ensuring all safety measures are taken to get our customers back on the ice.

Our typical hiring range is between $16.00 and $26.00 per hour. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, job-related knowledge, skills and competencies, store size and market location, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements.
