Job summary

Pro Hockey Life is seeking a Pro Shop Service Technician who interacts with customers, assesses needs, and sets up, repairs and maintains hockey equipment, while ensuring safety. You will diagnose and advise on maintenance to get customers back on the ice.

Responsibilities include repairs (skate sharpening, profiling, holder/runner installation), maintaining the service area, providing quotes, and documenting work orders and returns.

Qualifications

  • Passionate and knowledgeable about the game of hockey.
  • Previous pro shop experience is a strong asset.
  • Mechanical inclination and aptitude.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Description of the Role

As a Pro Shop Service Technician, you’re as good with people as you are with your hands. After all, it’s your job to interact with customers, assess their needs, and then set up, repair and maintain their hockey equipment. You will assess, diagnose and provide recommendations for maintenance and servicing while ensuring all safety measures are taken to get our customers back on the ice.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain all pro shop equipment and service area

  • Provide appropriate quotes for services provided

Our typical hiring range is between $17.75 and $26.00 per hour. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, job-related knowledge, skills and competencies, store size and market location, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements.
