Job description

The Private Lending Officer is a senior relationship and service position focused on delivering banking solutions to high-net-worth clients. Reporting to the AVP, Head of Specialized Lending Solutions, key responsibilities include:

Providing exceptional service to HNW clients, managing branch processing, supporting credit delivery and banking solutions, maintaining security files, assisting the Regional Director in sales and case closings. Currently, we seek a Private Lending Officer for Western Canada and Ontario.

Position Responsibilities:

1. Client Service and Support
2. Collaborate with advisors and clients to recommend solutions enhancing insurance and investment strategies.
3. Maintain a thorough understanding of specialized lending strategies.
4. Ensure adherence to standards to deliver a high-quality HNW client experience, address queries, collaborate internally, and process transactions efficiently.
5. Respond promptly to client needs, working independently to ensure satisfaction.
6. Contribute to relationship management team success.

Credit and Security

Process financial transactions for new loans and deposits, ensure security file quality, maintain accurate records for reporting, compliance, and audits, and address deficiencies promptly.

Administration and Branch Operations

Identify process, system, or product improvements, maintain security of records, and perform general administrative tasks.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education or equivalent experience, with over 5 years in banking, including retail, commercial, and high-net-worth sectors.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of banking operations, systems, controls, and proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerBI, and Salesforce.
• Excellent client service, interpersonal, diplomatic, analytical, and problem-solving skills; sound judgment and accountability.
• Bilingual in English and French (Ontario positions), goal-oriented, well-networked, organized, and detail-focused.
• Ability to influence, collaborate with high-net-worth teams, adapt to change, and thrive in a dynamic environment.
