The Private Lending Officer is a senior relationship and service position focused on the delivery of banking solutions to high-net-worth clients. Reporting to the AVP, Head of Specialized Lending Solutions, key deliverables include:
Very high level of service to HNW clientele, branch processing administration, support in the delivery of credit and a full suite of banking solutions, maintenance and responsibility for security files, support to the local Regional Director, Specialized Lending Solutions in fulfilling sales and the closing of cases. We are currently looking for a Private Lending Officer in Western Canada and Ontario.
Position Responsibilities:
Client Service and Support
Ensure consistent adherence to standards to deliver the desired High-Net-Worth (HNW) client experience, address client queries, collaborate with internal partners, and complete client transactions while liaising with operations staff as needed.
Investigate and respond promptly to client needs, working with minimal supervision to ensure client satisfaction.
Serve as a key member of the relationship management team, contributing to the overall success and effectiveness of client relationships.
Credit and Security
Set up and administer new loan and deposit business by processing financial transactions, ensuring the quality of the security file, maintaining accurate records for reporting, compliance, and audit requirements, and promptly escalating and addressing any deficiencies.
Administration and Branch Operations
Identify and recommend suitable solutions for process, system, or product enhancements, maintain the security of all bank records and correspondence, and perform general office administration tasks.
Required Qualifications:
Possess post-secondary education or equivalent industry experience, with over 5 years of banking experience, including retail, commercial, and preferably high-net-worth sectors.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrate excellent knowledge of banking operations, systems, and controls, along with strong PC skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerBI, and knowledge of Salesforce.
Exhibit superior client experience skills, advanced interpersonal and diplomacy skills, strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to make sound judgments and be accountable.
Show preference for bilingual proficiency in English and French (for Ontario positions only), achievement orientation, strong internal networking skills, and proven organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to influence and work collaboratively with high-net-worth teams, adapt to changes, technology, and team priorities, and thrive in a rapidly changing and growing business environment.
