Job summary

Basecamp is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented household cleaner to maintain a private family home in Canmore, Alberta. This part-time role offers 20+ hours per week and pays $25 per hour.

You will perform regular cleaning of bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and shared spaces, handle laundry, change bedding, and assist with light tidying, all while respecting the family’s privacy and working independently. Start date is as soon as possible.

Qualifications

• Previous residential cleaning or housekeeping experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and a consistent standard of cleanliness.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
• Good time-management and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of safe cleaning practices and appropriate products for different surfaces.
• Ability to carry out cleaning duties, including bending, standing, and moving household cleaning equipment.
• Respectful of the family’s privacy, belongings, and household routines.
• Professional references required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all areas of the home.
• Dust surfaces, vacuum and mop floors, and clean mirrors and interior glass.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, kitchen counters, sinks, and other frequently used surfaces.
• Complete laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and putting away clothing and linens.
• Change bedding and maintain clean towels and household linens.
• Assist with light household tidying and organization.
• Complete periodic deeper cleaning, including appliances, baseboards, and other areas as needed.
• Empty garbage and recycling and replenish household supplies as required.
• Notify the family of low cleaning supplies, maintenance concerns, or damage.
• Handle household belongings with care and maintain discretion and confidentiality.
• Additional ad hoc duties upon request, such as errand running.
