Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all home areas (bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living spaces).
• Dust surfaces, vacuum, mop floors, wash mirrors and interior glass.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, kitchen counters, sinks and surfaces.
• Complete laundry: wash, dry, fold, and put away clothing and linens.
• Change bedding and maintain towels and household linens.
• Assist with light tidying and organization.
• Periodic deeper cleaning: appliances, baseboards, and other areas.
• Empty garbage/recycling and replenish supplies.
• Notify family of low supplies, maintenance concerns, or damage.
• Handle belongings with care and maintain discretion and confidentiality.
• Ad hoc duties such as errands when needed.

This part-time position offers 20 plus hours per week and involves regular household cleaning, laundry, and occasional deeper cleaning. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, respects the family’s privacy, and is comfortable working independently.

WEEKLY SCHEDULE

• Specific working days and hours to be agreed upon with the family

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Clean and maintain all areas of the home, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and shared living spaces
• Dust surfaces, vacuum and mop floors, and clean mirrors and interior glass
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, kitchen counters, sinks, and other frequently used surfaces
• Complete laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and putting away clothing and linens
• Change bedding and maintain clean towels and household linens
• Assist with light household tidying and organization
• Complete periodic deeper cleaning, including appliances, baseboards, and other areas as needed
• Empty garbage and recycling and replenish household supplies as required
• Notify the family of low cleaning supplies, maintenance concerns, or damage
• Handle household belongings with care and maintain discretion and confidentiality
• Additional ad hoc duties upon request, such as errand running

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Previous residential cleaning or housekeeping experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and a consistent standard of cleanliness
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Good time-management and organizational skills
• Knowledge of safe cleaning practices and appropriate products for different surfaces
• Ability to carry out cleaning duties, including bending, standing, and moving household cleaning equipment
• Respectful of the family’s privacy, belongings, and household routines
• Professional references required
